1. Mediation: Mediation is the intervention in a dispute or negotiation of an acceptable, impartial and neutral third party, who has no decision making authority. 
2. Conciliation: Conciliation assists parties in identifying the disputed issues and discussing possible terms of settlement while receiving expert advice from the conciliator who does not act as a judge for the parties. 
3. Arbitration: Arbitration takes away the control from the parties in influencing the decision. The arbitrator hears the arguments, takes evidence from the parties, and then decides how to resolve the dispute.
